Lizbeth Barcelo Coaching/Training Plans

I was having problems with hot foot and saddle sore on some of my longer rides, when I went for my fit with Coach Tony. He took body measurements, looked at my riding, adjusted my cleats, and adjusted my position on the bike. Throughout the whole process he patiently explained and answered my questions. I was very happy with the experience, and my old pains are gone...

Marc Sanchez Bike Fit

I have had chronic hip pain for a few years. It was getting very difficult to even ride my bike especially hills. After my bike fit with Coach Tony, the hip pain went away. He suggested pedal extensions and with proper body fit to my bike, I was able to ride without pain. Thanks Coach!

Heart Rate Zones - Updated

Heart Rate Zone training methodologies have matured since I posted my original article on the subject. There are new and differing opinions on how to calculate Maximum Heart Rate (MRH), which is the foundation for zone calculations. Other thoughts suggest using 180 in lieu of a MHR. Most methodologies appear to have over from 4 to 5 major zones. We have more choices on how to calculate our training zones. This is good because 220- age does not work for all. The challenge is selecting the best method. I’ve updated my original article to reinforce the benefits or heart rate training.  Read More.

Equipmant to Borrow

Over the years, I'm seen many triathletes come and go. As they go, some left equipment behind for others to borrow.  I have collected various bike travel boxes, wheel sets, bars, wetsuits and other items available to CT athletes.  Read More.
