Foot to Pedal Interface E-mail

If you were to dangle from a tree and allow your feet to hang loose, would the bottoms of your feet be paralell to the ground?  No, they would angle inward towards the center of your body.  Running shoes account for this by providing adjustment to pronation or supination.  But cycling shoes are far behind the curve in providing the same ajustment.  In order to maximize power to the rear wheel, you must find a way to make the same ajustment running shoe do in your cycling shoe.

I use the Bike Fit Systems designed by Paul Swift, 8-time US National Cycling Champion. This system uses external or the "Original" In-The-Shoe Wedge as needed to make necessary corrections to foot position and maximize your power output. One ITS Wedge gives a true 1.5 degrees of varus tilt.    Studies show that 96% of the population is misaligned in their fit to their bicycle. Are you one of them?

Foot Pedal Interface – How your feet are placed on the pedals is the final but very critical component of a proper bike. It determines how well (or off) your knee is aligned with your foot. Improper knee to foot alignment can cause unnecessary knee, hip, or lower back pain.
